What motivated you to join the challenge?
Being on quarantine definitely motivated me to do the challenge. As a way to get back on track diet wise.
What were some of the goals you had for the challenge?
My number one goal was to stick to the diet and fasting 100%. Also while working out I made it a goal to not stop because I was a little tired but to push past that uncomfortable feeling
What was your experience with working out, doing challenges, fitness? What did you do?
My experience working out wasn’t anything too different. Before the challenge I worked out 4-5 days a week but adding a challenge, plus the days workout was a bit difficult. One big thing I did was made a schedule for myself on when I workout instead of whenever I felt like it. It gave me a sense of a schedule while on quarantine.
What’s a highlight from the challenge?
Running a mile for the first time in about 4-5 years!!
Did you have a low point? How did you overcome it?
My low point was when our veggie intake went up to 6 cups. I would just sit and stuff them in my mouth as fast as I could. I just got really upset knowing I had to have more the next meal. I never knew I hated vegetables that much lol
What did a day in your life look like while in the challenge?
I’d wake up at 7am and workout around 9:30 followed by breakfast at 10:30am. Then I’d relax watch tv, video games, clean. Around 1:30 I’d have lunch then relax some more. Some days I’d go for a walk to the park. Around 4:30pm I’d have dinner, then chill untill around 9:30pm.
What or who helped you be successful?
All of the challengers helped me a lot because I saw people I knew doing the same thing. And seeing everyone else keep pushing on motivated me to keep at it.
Favorite Recipe?
Paleo chilli was definitely my fav!
What was the most challenging?
Intermittent fasting was very difficult only because I’m a snacker so I like to snack and eat smaller meals all day. The hunger never really went away it was just not as bad.
What was your favorite memory from the challenge?
Wearing a dress I wore 2 years ago and feeling so much more confident in it.
If your challenge experience was going to be written as a book, what would the title of the book be?
Attack of the vegetables!!
What is your advice for someone looking to start their journey or join a challenge?
Have the mindset that your going to do everything 110% and give your all. Also never compare your progress to anyone else’s.
