Welcome New Reign Coach | Codey N.

We are excited to announce one of the newest additions to the Reign Coaching Team, Codey Nelson! 


His great character, willingness to learn new things, and passion to be a part of a community (Reign's strongest asset, community.) is what drew us to him. We can't wait for everyone to meet him soon. 


He's a Personal Trainer and lives the lifestyle! 


You'll see him in the next couple months assisting with classes, working out in classes, and just around the gym getting to know our community.




In an effort to get to know him a little better, we sent him over a quick mini-interview series of questions to answer for the Reign Fam to read.


Here is Codey! 


Name: Codey Nelson


Occupation: Personal Trainer 



1. Tell us a little about yourself?


I was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. (The locals call it Fort Liquordale, you got to love a beach city and spring breakers.)


I moved to Arkansas when I was in high school and it was a culture shock for sure. My parents were always into fitness and my mom owned a gym when I was college.


That when I first started personal training. 


I've been married to my wife Janzen for seven years. She loves yoga and paddle boarding.


We have a dog and a cat.



2. What made you want to coach, lead, and be a part of the Reign Community? 


I love to help people change in a positive way.


It makes me happy when someone reaches a goal and they're excited for days about their achievements. Knowing that I helped them do that is very satisfying. 


Reign fitness has the same love for fitness that I do and to help people.  It is awesome to work in a place with the same goals that you have.



3. Favorite cheat meal? 


I would have to go with Pizza!


I do love some chocolate and strawberry ice cream for desserts.  


The two complement each other so well.



4. What kind of impact do you hope to make here at Reign? 


Along with being a positive force on the Reign team. I look forward to helping with events / different workshops.


I want to build and grow our fitness community. 



5. What are your goals or aspirations for 2019/2020?  



My goals for the next are to knock out as much continuing education as I can to help me be a better coach / personal trainer.


I do want to hike the enchantments this year.  


The lakes with snow and glaciers look amazing.



6. First CD you bought & Favorite Movie of all time...  


First cd  Soundgarden Superunknow  typical teenage growing up in the 90’s loved all the grunge music.


Favorite movie the Martix. 


I went to the theater twice to watch it when it came out. 



7. What are your hobbies outside of the Fitness?


I love going to music festivals!


I dig that they have so many different artists to check out. One year I saw snoop dog perform one night and beck the next. 


I like all types of music expect country.



8. What's your spirit animal? 


Good question!


Internet survey came back with the results as a leopard. Fast and quick thinking.


 I can go with that!



9. Life words of wisdom or favorite quote? How has it influenced your life? 


"The only constant thing in the world is change."


 I adopt very will to change. 


You never know what life is going to throw at you. When training people their energy level may a little off from what you had planned for them, sometimes you have to change things up!



10. What advice would you give to anyone looking to start their fitness journey?


Stay consistent with your goals and be patient. Your body does not change over night .



11. One interesting fact about yourself? 


I can juggle.


My Sister harmony gave me a book on juggling as a gift.
