How to get started with Reign Fitness
Step 1: Get Registered and Signed Up For Classes
The first step is getting signed up for your first class to meet coaches along with getting a feel for the community. At Reign Fitness, we have coaches who have both experience and certifications that allow them to effectively teach you the fundamentals you'll see in classes. They'll help you learn the proper form for exercises, how to adjust the workout for your fitness levels, and throughly explain the workouts so that you can easily understand the flow of the class.
Getting a feel for the community is also key because we believe that finding a like minded community that is unconditionally supportive of each other is vital to your success. If you haven't done so already, come check us out and get registered for your FREE Trial.
Step 2: Start Attending Classes
Classes are typically 50-60 minutes long and consist of a warm-up, Coach's demo and workout explanation, a skill or strength section, and then a Workout of the Day (WOD). The workouts are designed to be constantly varied, meaning you'll see a different workout every time you come into the gym. This keeps your body guessing, mind engaged, and provide a fun yet challenging experience every time.
Reign Fitness offers two workout programs that each have their own unique experience yet utilize the same foundational movements. ReignFIT combines strength, high intensity interval training, and cardio based workouts to help you reach fitness goals. Without a barbell we are able to bypass more high skill movements and focus on a more cardio and general fitness base. This is a great place to start if you're just beginning your fitness journey, looking to get back into working out, or supplementing your own strength training program.
Barbell Classes incorporate foundational barbell strength and olympic lifting movements. Experienced and qualified coaches help you scale weight appropriately, teach proper technique to help you progress safely, and continue to provide an individualized experience. These classes will often times include a skill/technique section and a Daily Workout section that will deliver the cardio aspect to your training. This class will require either previous experience or completion of our 2 day Barbell Fundamentals Workshop.
Step 3: Listen To Your Body
It's important to remember that everyone has a different fitness level and it's okay to adjust your workouts to fit your needs. (Coaches are also here to help you with this.) With consistency, you'll build endurance, strength, and experience to help you reach your goals. It's important to listen to your body, don't take on too much as you just get started, and be mindful of recovery so that you can keep getting after it in the gym safely.
Step 4: Have Fun!
Don't forget to have fun! Fitness is a great way to challenge yourself and meet people. The community is our greatest strength and what makes Reign Fitness so special.
