The Open is Here At Reign | 19.1 Tips

The Open 19.1 Tips 15 Minute AMRAP 19 Wall Balls 19 Calorie Row (20lbs/14lbs) (10ft/9ft) Tip #1 | Breakdown and Game Plan This workout is 15 minutes of a pull (on the rower), a push (wall ball throw), and squats. - The first thing I’m looking at is the time domain. 15 minutes is not really a short workout and is going to require some pacing but because it’s an open workout, it also means there’s going to be a little sprint at the end. My suggestion: Pace until you have about 3-4 minutes left where you are going to have to just buckle up and go after it. - I’m thinking that if you’re pushing at a moderately high level, both of these movements will be able to get done in 2 minutes. The 2019 Reign Challenge Results

Our Reign Fitness Challenge kicked off January 14th, 2019 with the goal to help our community reset from the holidays, take advantage of New Year Momentum, and give everyone an opportunity to commit 30 days to self-investment. Everyone took on physical, nutrition, and lifestyle challenges that re-enforced skills that would help them stay compliant with their goals. Together our group lost 74.5lbs and a total 105 inches! I want to give a big shout out to all of our challengers for grinding through the 30 days especially with the last 10 or so days trapped indoors from Seattle's Snowmageddon. This presented new obstacles ranging from gym closures, disruption of routines, and childcare issues.

Always Remember Our Reign Family | Mayra Sanchez

Valentine's Day is always bittersweet for some of the Veteran Reign Fitness Members as we remember one of our very own who passed 3 years ago. Mayra was not only a personal training client of mine for over 5 years but she naturally became one of my good friends. You get to know someone really well when you see them 2-4 times a week, every week, for over 5 years. She also helped to form the family of clients that would surround me and unconditionally support me in the early part of my career. For her belief in me... I will be forever grateful. Mayra did not have a single mean bone in her body and was truly the most genuine and kind hearted person. At the same time she was a feisty Mexicano Wo

3 Tips To Help Improve Your Rowing

Often times rowing is looked at as just conditioning and another torture device for coaches to make you sweat. Getting better at it sounds "bleh" and most of time everything starts to ache when you row too long. And if you're like me… You're guilty of just strapping in your feet and grinding out 1,000's of meters without taking a second to think about efficiency and/or form. The reality is that rowing with attention to some details can be an amazing tool to utilize in your fitness and can really expedite your performance in the gym. So, today… I want to give you 3 Tips To Help You Improve Your Rowing and some specific Coach's training cues that you can apply the next time you're at Reign Fit

February 2019 Member Spotlight | Ki. Kang

In an effort to get to know our Reign Fitness Community better, we like to feature a member each month who showcases our core values... "Being Coachable, Confident, Hungry, Positive, and Humble." And for February 2019, I couldn't think of anyone more exemplary of our Reign Core Values than my good friend and long time client Ki Kang. Ki's one of the best people I know and truly an individual who cares for the people in his life. Not only does he serve others (you'll often find him helping another member with a movement in classes or encouraging someone through a workout)… You'll always see Ki, leading by example, and working his butt off. He's got an open arms policy to tough workouts and yo
